Exploring Classical Music

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 9.45am at a retirement village in Mairangi Bay

You don’t need to know a lot about music to feel at home in our group - we simply share a love of classical music. With the help of PowerPoint, we look at, learn and listen to diverse aspects of the music that has enriched our lives, exploring the lives of composers, familiar and little known, in the times and culture in which they lived.

The last half hour of each session is devoted to our own Desert Island Discs as group members share music that they would like to have on their own desert island. Come and join us as we learn, listen and share our musical stories. Such fun!
