Study Group Information

Great Artists

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 10am at the home of the member presenting their chosen talk. We take turns in giving talks.

Members are lovely people, highly intelligent, sociable and good fun. We are all amateurs who enjoy learning as we go. We all join in making an informal and interesting discussion.

We learn how artworks are not just images but how they reflect the social norms and beliefs of society at particular times in history. This year we are studying The Bauhaus period and de Stijl Movement and the artists and their works look extremely interesting.
