Study Group Information
Historical Studies
We meet every 2nd Monday of each month from 9.45am to 11.45am at a venue on the North Shore.
This group covers general history. There are two presentations per meeting. Members take turns in preparing and then giving their lecture. Typically a members create at most two presentations per year.
Presentations consist of a lecture which may be supplemented with hand-outs, videos, PowerPoint and whiteboard. Most presenters are willing to take interjections but invariably at the end there are questions and general discussion. So typically a lecture takes 20-30 minutes but the length of the conversation afterwards depends on our general curiosity.
The presentations are freestanding so missing a meeting does not handicap future attendance.
