Study Group Information

Social Issues

We meet on the 1st Friday of each month (except January) at 1.00 pm in a hired venue in Campbells Bay.

Our members are people who follow those issues of national and international interest that influence and affect the way people live in society. We cover items on Climate, Culture, Education, Energy, Medicine, Population, Science, Sport and many other topics that come under our generously interpreted subject heading.

We do not limit ourselves to topics that feature in the media, though their coverage may inform our discussion. We may also discuss some issue that a member thinks should be brought more to the attention of members of New Zealand or international society.
